In 1987 Cerebral Palsy began the Options Supportive Living
Program. Enrollment as of this date is approximately 35
consumers and their families from the South Shore and Southeastern
Massachusetts. Consumers who are in danger of becoming institutionalized
or who are already institutionalized receive support services
to enable them to live more independently in their own homes.
With assistance provided by the case managers, the consumers
hire their own personal care attendants (PCA's) who assist
them with such daily tasks as bathing, dressing and shopping.
Case managers support consumers in the coordination of their
daily activities.
